02 ABOUT
In 2020, I completed my undergraduate program in the School of Design at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, with a minor in Visual Computing. I’m passionate about human-computer interaction, as well as using software and hardware to tackle design challenges and augment human experiences.
In my work, I challenge the application of game engines, using them in contexts different from those intended by developers. I have leveraged them as the primary interaction platform for human-centric and off-centric design projects in both academic and personal settings. I strongly believe that even though human-computer interactions are not always the solution to design challenges, they open a world of possibilities to mediate everyday actions relevant to design; especially when amalgamated with more traditional design elements and techniques.
In 2021 I co-founded Mission Control Studios, an indie game development studio focused on narrative-driven videogames. We are currently developing a 2D puzzle-simulator game called Farspeaker where you play as a futuristic switchboard operator.
